I've been working on Super-Couponing. Sammie and I hit Jewel, Super K-mart, and Walt's yesterday. We spent $186 and saved $80 in sale items, coupons, and register rewards. Awesome, right?!! And not only did we get our regular groceries, but stocked up on some shampoo and shower wash items. And we had so much fun doing it, too! Sammie was laughing at me when we bought 10 Pillsbury bisquits for $0.25 (after register rewards of $10 and coupons totaling $2.25). After we got the $20 in register rewards from Jewel, we headed right back in and spent them on a couple higher priced items on sale. Now Sammie is all fired up and making pretend coupons to practice shopping at home. :) Heading to Walgreens and CVS today!
I mentioned before attending my Stampahowlics quarterly meeting and hearing Jill Cataldo of Super-Couponing speak. She is awesome and taught me some very cool tricks to save money. I was never much of a coupon shopper before, but now I have trouble buying cereal for my daughter that isn't on sale and have a coupon. I don't think I'll ever be as die hard as Jill is. But I'm definitely saving money. And when you get something for pennies or even FREE, it's pretty awesome!
Here are some links if you are interested in checking them out. If you are in the area, I highly recommend catching Jill Cataldo speaking.
www.coupontom.com (great site to see if a coupon is offered on something you need to buy)
www.thegrocerygame.com (pay site, but offers a free trial)
www.couponmom.com (check out the blog)
Have fun!

I was listening to Good Morning America radio yesterday and they were interviewing Stephanie O'Dea because she used her crockpot every day last year to cook meals, snacks, desserts, etc., for her family. She challenged herself and blogged it all! So, check out her blog. Lots of great recipes I want to try.
