My husband went into work yesterday (Sunday) to paint a car and it's thrown my whole sense of the week off. When I saw somewhere it was Monday today, I actually muttered out loud that it couldn't be. Then of course my smarty pants 5 year old says "It's Monday, Mom, remember yesterday was Sunday!" (the attitude in that statement doesn't translate to the written word). So, Monday it is. We stayed in today since it was raining and dreary most of the day. We did catch up on some school work and reading.
I did do a little stamping yesterday that included this Sympathy card. Now, those of you who know me know that I don't make sympathy cards because it doesn't seem like I can get my card to look like the message I'm trying to say. But I got the new Level 1 hostess set, From the Garden, and it says sympathy to me. So, here it is:
What do you think? I did a little watercoloring on the leaves and some subtle Apricot Appeal on the flower. I hope it's ok. It's for a neighbor of my husband's parent that recently lost her husband. They've been neighbors since my husband was a kid. She's always so kind to my daughter on Halloween, giving her extra treats.
Ok, ready for April Fools Day?
