Greetings from Florida!

Hi Everyone!  Sammie and I are in Florida and having a great time visiting my family.  We've been busy, busy, busy.  We've been to the aquarium and the zoo.  And the outlet mall on Sunday.  Gotta love outlet shopping!  I even got lucky and actually found some clothes for me.  Well, Sammie got some, too.  She's really enjoying clothes shopping lately.  On Sunday night Sammie went fishing for the first time with her Uncle Jimmy and cousin, Adam.  They got her an adorable Barbie fishing pole and she caughta  Gag Grouper and a Mangrove Snapper!  She was so excited and still talks about it.

Time for our summer trip to FL to visit my family.  We'll be gone about 2 weeks.  I'll try and post to the blog when I can.  My nephew, Adam, will be celebrating his 13th birthday while we're there.  And Sammie will also be going on her very first fishing trip with Adam and Uncle Jimmy.  Lots of fun in store for us!

Rockin' Girl Blogger here... Ha, ha, ha...Couldn't resist!!   

Some of you may have noticed that Stampin' Up! has started selling the Crop-a-Dile.  I don't have one and didn't really know why I needed one.  But as new projects emerge on demonstrator blogs and www.splitcoaststampers.com , I can see that I need one...soon!  You  can punch through just about anything including metal.  There's a video circulating that demonstrates how to use the crop-a-dile to punch holes and set eyelets.  And here it is...

Love Notes!

So, I did find about 45 minutes to stamp today and I made some more love notes.  These particular ones will go into some newsletters I'm sending to my snail mail customers to promote next month's Punch Box promotion. 

   

Pomegranate is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors!  The first card has the flowers punched out of it with the base of the card showing through.  I used a white gel pen to make dot the middle of the flower.  The second card has the flower pop-dotted onto the card.

It's Saturday!

What are you up to?  I did some stamping today...and it's only 11:30 am!!  Next month, Stampin' Up! has a promotion planned that includes some FREE love note cards when you purchase the Three for You Punch Box.  Well, my love notes came yesterday, so I pulled a couple out and here's what I came up with...

  The one on the left I CASED from Stampin' Up!'s samples on their flyer.

This time the one on the right is CASED from Stampin' Up!'s samples.  Guess I should have took their picture together, huh?  The love notes come in Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranite, and So Saffron.  And they are textured!  Very nice!

I've seen the Holiday mini catalog!!

And it's good!  I'm going to go broke if I buy everything I want!  Here's some highlights...

Also, Stampin' Up! announced today that Sell-A-Bration will be February 1, 2008, thru March 17, 2008!  Sell-a-Bration is an exciting time to earn free stamps!  And this on the tail of the Spring/Summer Collection 2008 release!  Woo Hoo!

Happy Monday!

I did find a little stamping time today.  Did you?  I'm feeling a little uninspired lately.  Especially when it comes to the new "In Colors".  So, I CASED a card in the catalog.  It's simple, but it's cute!  I layered the wings on the old olive butterfly so it's popped up a little.  And I used the mat pack and the paper piercing tool to poke a line of holes in the old olive strip under the white.  Hard to see it in the photo.  Here it is...

Sorry for not posting lately.  I haven't been doing any stamping this week.  Just having a little catch up week...that I didn't really do much catching up!  I'm hoping to get some stamping time tomorrow. 

Sammie and I did go to the zoo this week.  Here's a pictue of a couple of her favorite animals!

I'll post a couple more tomorrow.  Looks like we'll be staying in and working on cleaning out some closets.  We'll be organizing.  Sounds like fun, right?

Meet Flower...

...our new fish!

She's pretty small.  We didn't realize how big Nemo has grown until we put her next to him!  But we should have guessed.  Nemo's a little piggy!

My Lucky 7 new catalog event this past Saturday was a success.  We all had a great time!  Here's a pic of the last project we did...

A nugget box!  It holds 3 Hershey Nugget candies.  It was a little more challenging than the other projects, but so cute!  Here's the other two, in case you missed them in previous posts...

I can't believe it's July already.  The time is really just flying by.  It's been a pretty busy summer so far, but I should be seeing some more free time now.  Sammie finishes her swimming lessons this week and her big accomplishment is putting her head underwater.  I'm so proud of her!  She's also involved in the summer reading program at the library.  They really have done a nice job with it and some other programs for the kids this summer.  They did a treasure hunt last Friday that she absolutely loved!  In a couple of weeks, we're off to Florida to visit my family.  Won't be much of a weather change though, huh?  The last couple days have been pretty warm and muggy.
