Stampin' with Carol

I'm back, I'm back!!

Yes, I'm alive.  I know you were starting to wonder.  I am feeling much better now, as is my Sammie-girl.  She did have to start some antibiotics for a sinus infection though.  We were supposed to go out of town last week, but postponed it to this week.  So, we're leaving on Wednesday!  Lots of packing to do tomorrow.

So, last week I wanted to post something and never got a chance to.  On Wednesday, April 25th, my husband and I celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary.  Yep, 20 years.  We did go out to dinner on Wednesday night while Sammie stayed with my MIL.  But it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been since I didn't feel well.  One highlight though is the beautiful roses my husband brought me!  Here they are...

Aren't they pretty?  Smell nice, too!  Sammie told my husband he was "so sweet" to do this.  Too cute!  And we'll be getting away for a weekend "honeymoon" while we're in Florida!

 

Tomorrow is May 1st.  Does anyone know what that means?  Ok, Kerry, I see your hand up... Yes, it's the retirment announcement!  Woo Hoo!  It's a big day in the Stampin' Up! world.  I'll get the list out as soon as I see it.  I can't wait!!  And that means only 2 months to the new catty.  I should also get to see the catalog preview brochure tomorrow.  But here's spoiler.  Stampin' Up! will have new brads!!

Sorry I've been Missing in Action for a few days here.  Lots of stuff going on.  Sammie hasn't been feeling well and now it's my turn.  We were preparing for our trip to Florida, but we've decided to postpone it a week until we're all feeling better. 

So, I am canceling the May 12th Simply Scrappin' Kit Card Class since I will now be out of town.  .  If you're interested in attending this class, please let me know and I'll reschedule.  I'll also be posting details soon about the retirement party on May 19th.  Stampin' UP! announces their retiring stamp sets on May 1st.  As a demonstrator, this is an exciting time!  I will send out the retirment list once I receive it.  The retirement party is your chance to make some projects with retiring stamp sets and purchase my inventory of retiring stamp sets.  And the class will be free with a qualifying purchase

So, I did do a little stamping yesterday or maybe it's more paper crafting.  I picked up a wood frame from Michael's for $1.00.  I painted the edges white and covered it in paper and added some decorative butterflies (to cover up the boo boo...shhhh...don't tell).

Very productive stamping day!

Funny how some days inspiration comes to you and other days...nothing!  Yesterday was a nothing day, but today was an inspiration day!  Here are 3 cards I did that will probably be featured at Saturday's Stamp-a-stack class.  If you haven't signed up, there is still time!

Ok, this is kind of fun...

I saw this on a couple other blogs.  If you go to www.google.com and type in the search bar "your name needs", in my case "carol needs", and click search.  Here's a couple that came up for me...

Carol needs to be developed for future advancement (sure, why not)

Carol needs to find local vendors in Jacksonville (for what, I wonder)

Carol needs a nickname (ok, I'm open to that - be nice!)

Carol needs your help (don't we all?)

Carol needs to be alert during and after delivery (uh, no...)

Carol needs you to keep the rock alive (Yes, keep rock alive!)

Carol needs to stand her ground (I usually do)

Carol needs to become more accessible to the people (I'll work on that)

Carol needs rehab (for my stamp addiction!!)

Been a few days since I checked in...

  ...not much new to report.  I haven't done any stamping, but hopefully tomorrow.  We did get our new furniture for the family room today.  That's pretty exciting!

 

Soon I'll be announcing Stampin' Up!'s promotion for the month of May.  It's a designer series paper promotion that gives us a sneak peek at the new catty debuting in July.  I love this time of year when we start gearing up for the new catalog.  May 1st, Stampin' Up! announces the retirement of several stamp sets and accessories.  It's no that far off now and I'm getting anxious to see what stamp sets will be leaving my collection.

Adorable RAK (Random Act of Kindness)
