Stampin' with Carol

Busy weekend, so far...

Last night was my team meeting.  What a blast!  We had such a good time.  Today we had the park district's Easter egg hunt and then we went to Adventure Trails with our friends for lunch and arcade games.  I uploaded some pics to two new albums.  Check out "March 30: Team Meeting" and "March 31: Easter Egg Hunt" over on the right side.

So, I did some stamping this week and here are some of the things I took to the meeting to show off.  I also shared these with the larger group I belong to, the Stampahowlics.  As demonstrators, that's the one thing we do...share everything!  Gives us ideas and keeps us inspired.  Fun, fun, fun!!

This is a coaster frame.  The picture slides in between the 2 coasters.  I used my Creative Memories cutter tools to make the shape and then cut the hole out with an exacto knife.  I used red line double-sided tape to hold the two coasters together.

    This is a coaster box made with a 12x12 piece of cardstock.  I got the instructions from www.splitcoaststampers.com.  Very easy and you don't have to mess with gluing a coaster on the bottom. 

This is a grocery list note pad that I picked up cheap somewhere.  I just altered the cover by adding designer paper and some embellishments.

One year ago today...

...my Grandfather passed away.  It hardly seems like it could be a whole year already.  Time sure flies!  So, today we have Gramps on our mind.  Indulge me in a few memories...

Almost 20 years ago, he walked me down the aisle.  It was the first time he ever wore a tuxedo.  My Grandmother (his wife) passed away later this same year. 

Four generations.  This was taken when Sammie was only 2 months old in 2002.

Well, you can tell the warm weather is here...

when your child skins their knee for the first time this year.  Yep, put shorts on today and fell running off the porch.  I think it's the first skinned knee she's ever had that bled some.  But don't fret, she's fine.  After some very dramatic crying and limping, she's back to normal.  Here she is sporting her big bandaid.  (I have to remember to buy some more of those)

And here are some leaf sprouts on my lilac bush.  All this warm weather has brought Spring early!

Last 2 cards for tomorrow...

Yep, finished them up.  Well, one was done.  Thanks to Kerry for reminding me we were going to do the punch flower card.  The other one I came up with, but was inspired by a couple of cards I saw on SCS.  So, if you're not coming to the stamp-a-stack tomorrow, here's what you're missing...

Kramer dog continues to improve.  He's definitely back to acting normal and almost eating normal.  So, we're really relieved over here.  If I could just get him to take his antibiotic pill.  For some reason I can't get it down him.  He gets it out, chews it and basically spits it.  Yuck!

Kramer dog update!

  He's feeling better!  We're so happy!  We just have to keep him resting for a day or two and gradually increase amounts of food and water while monitoring his potty habits and hopefully in a day or two, he'll be good as new.  Oh, give him some medicine, too.   Thanks to all who sent good wishes!

Happy Spring!

Today is the first full day of Spring and the temperatures are refecting just that!  Weather Channel is telling me it's 72 out there!  Wow!  I did do a little stamping today while we've been waiting on word from the vet about our Kramer dog.  He had to have some x-rays today for some tummy and bowel trouble and maybe surgery.  But at 3pm, they thought it looked ok and he wouldn't need surgery.  They are planning on sending him home with us this evening sometime.  Yea!
